the painstakingly fun maze at Puzzleworld in Wanaka. We decided to go there on a whim late in the afternoon on one of our quieter days having watched bit of a slow movie. It meant we got to be like kids for a couple of hours... and ended up being so much fun. Ither than we got stuck in the maze long after everyone else had completed it and gone home! Plus it was nearly dark by the time we got out! Posted by Picasa

tunnels through hillside - journey to Christchurch Posted by Picasa

the next batch of pictures are taken from a recent trip to the South Island.
Mieke & I drove across, taking the ferry from the North Island at Wellington, meeting our English friends Rob & Sarah in Queenstown.

On the drive down, Mieke & I stopped off in Christchurch staying with some distant relatives. We made plenty of time for eating good food as well as the odd bit of ski-ing, snowboarding and sight-seeing, then on the drive back, Mieke & I took in some of the spectacular sites of the west coast (beaches, glaciers and some interesting rock formations).
