Glorious view of Mount Ruapehu and the Chateau Tongariro in Whakapapa village, about 20 minutes drive from the Watson's hoiday batch in Ohakune.

Most of the Mordor scenes for LOR's were filmed up this mountain, and during that time the cast and crew stayed in the beautiful chateau.
